10 Things That Will Help Keep You Sane If You’re Working Your Tail Off

If you don’t know who I am, my name is Sonny Huynh and I make videos about passive income and investment strategies. Lately, it’s mostly been Crypto related but I’m going to start branching out. In any case — This post is to highlight some things that you can do to help keep you sane during the most trying times in your life. We all have those weeks or those months that really drive us to the brink of insanity and we just need something to get the edge off. Here’s a few things that I have found to really help for me.

  1. Not looking at your phone first thing when you wake up. Give yourself some time to do other stuff first.
  2. Think about stuff you’re grateful for — like legit grateful for, not just stuff that people tell you
  3. Get outside and soak up some sun whenever you can — this will help a ton.
  4. If you can, get some movement in. Even if its just jumping up and down and some push ups at your desk. If you can, go for a run — even a little bit will go a longgggg way.
  5. Either Wim Hoff or Box Breathing early in the morning and later during the day — Basic goal to is hyper-oxygenate
  6. De-prioritize things that REALLY do not matter — If you can shave off a few minutes here and there in the work day, you can have an hour to yourself to do whatever you want.
  7. If you have a bunch of side hustles and other crazy stuff you are putting to your plate — allow yourself to take some time away. For the past 2 weeks, I barely looked at DeFi, Youtube, or any FBA stuff. It made me sad but doing that stuff too would make my mind explode
  8. Put a screensaver of somewhere you really want to go or of something you really want — let that be your reminder of the light at the end of the tunnel.
  9. Find something that will make you laugh — I’ve recently started watching the Peacemaker on HBO before bed and it absolutely cracks me up — TV isn’t for everyone but find something that can get you to laugh.
  1. Take a really hot or really cold shower in the morning — whichever flavor you like (or both). I personally started doing the whole cold shower thing — Not for the health benefits but because it slaps me awake in a very rude manner that gets me going.
  2. Even if you’re not the most outgoing person — carve out some time for your friends and family. People severely underestimate the power of human interaction and the role that it plays in your happiness and in your life. Especially in a world where a lot of us are working from home, it is SUPER easy to wake up, work at your desk at home, and then go to sleep.
  3. Bonus — Eat stuff that is tasty but fast — Sure healthy is good but don’t go working 80 hour weeks and then pound away struggle salad and struggle chicken — that will make you absolutely miserable.
